You might have asked yourself, is it better to the treadmill or outside running? Well, this article will shed some light on that question. Let’s start by defining the difference between treadmill and outside running. Inside running is when you are actually running on the ground while outside running is when you are on a flat surface. Treadmills have a bar that you place your feet on. As the running machine moves, it simulates jogging but the only difference is that you are not moving in an ideal straight line.
If you were to compare the running experience on an indoor track and on a treadmill, they would be worlds apart. The indoor track offers a much more comfortable and realistic feel to running outdoors. The reason why indoor tracks are so good is because of the natural breaks that occur as you run. This is something that outside running simply cannot offer. Your foot would simply slow down and eventually slide off of the deck. That is just not how the human body works.
However, many people do enjoy the outdoors running track. There is something about being outdoors that makes us feel fresh and crisp. For me, I enjoy the feel of hitting the open road without the repetitive aches that come with indoor tracks. If you do prefer an indoor track, that is fine. Just know that you will sacrifice some of the functionality that an indoor track offers.
In general, the answer depends on who is asking the question. For me, I say it is better to the treadmill if you are an experienced runner and have done a lot of running outdoors. If you have never run before or are just starting out with running, I would suggest going with an indoor track. However, there are many people who enjoy the feel of being outside while running on the treadmill.
When asking what is better treadmill running, I usually recommend running slower and longer on the outside treadmill. Why is this? Well, there are several reasons why running outside on a treadmill is better. One reason is that you can take your body and legs through a full range of motion that cannot be accomplished on an inside running track. By stretching your legs and warming up your muscles, you will increase your stamina and your ability to exercise for longer periods of time.
Another reason why I would recommend running slower and longer on an outside treadmill is so that you can burn more calories. This is done by getting your heart rate up so that you burn more calories. It is actually better to be walking when you are running because you will be able to get your heart rate up much faster than if you were jogging. And this does not only help you lose weight but also prevent you from heart disease and other fitness-related problems. Jogging is a great form of exercise for burning calories.
Finally, if you are wondering what is the best treadmill running for preventing injury, then one of my favorite workouts is the Pheidippides method. It is a combination of running on an incline for thirty minutes and then running flat out. What makes this workout different than other workout methods is that Pheidippides places his hands on the shins instead of the foot. As you can imagine, this causes a lot of shock absorption, which forces the muscles in your calves and thighs to work even harder and causes them to become tighter. This tightness is what causes shin splints. So, if you are running on a treadmill, run on it for thirty minutes and then stretch your shins afterward.
It all depends on which way you want to go. Personally, I prefer running outside. However, if you feel that you would like to have a more strenuous workout on a treadmill, then you can always add some other types of exercises to your routine. The key is to make sure that you are doing something that will benefit you, whether that is through losing weight, strengthening your muscles, etc.
